Designed by Salomon, the event Gravelanza blends road running, trail, festival spirit, and running culture in a format that's still quite unique in France. The idea? Nature routes accessible to everyone, a huge central hub where runners pass by repeatedly throughout the race, and a vibe that's much closer to an outdoor festival than a classic half-marathon.
What is gravel running?
Gravel running is like the missing link between road running and trail running. The idea: to run on mixed terrains — forest paths, stabilized trails, gravel, stretches of road, dirt, small hills — without diving into a super technical mountain trail. Pretty great, right?
Three formats to discover gravel running
Set on the terrace of the Meudon Observatory, Gravelanza offers three routes to explore the forest based on your level or weekend mood. On Saturday, June 13th at 4:30 PM, the Explor format...er kicks off the event with a 7.4 km loop, perfect for discovering gravel running without any pressure. On Sunday, it's time for the serious stuff with the Challenge (16.4 km) at 11:30 AM and Endurance (24.2 km) starting at 8:30 AM for the most motivated participants.

The little twist that changes everything? Unlike traditional races, here everything revolves around the Gravelanza Hub, a central village where runners return with each loop under the cheers of the crowd. The result? An incredibly vibrant atmosphere where even the supporters enjoy the show from start to finish.
Yoga, food, live music, and run crews
Beyond the races, Gravelanza clearly aims to attract the entire current running culture. On the agenda: outdoor yoga sessions, coffee & matcha, podcasts, live music, lifestyle booths, physiotherapy and osteo care, gear tests, and well-balanced food after exercise.

On Saturday afternoon, running clubs will also compete in a Run Crew Battle, a free 2.7 km race where hype counts just as much as speed. Yes, here, the style and energy of the crew are part of the ranking!
The new sports and party spot for the summer?
With its hybrid concept of performance, celebration, and outdoor fun, Gravelanza targets both seasoned runners and those curious to escape the pavement without leaving Paris. And honestly, running in the Meudon forest in less than 30 minutes from the capital before chilling in the sun… sounds tempting, doesn’t it?
