With the warm weather, are you craving some refreshing strolls and adventures in nature? Well, you’re in luck because so are we! So we suggest you discover a new blooming spot for these beautiful days. It’s really simple; all you have to do is cross the Bois de Boulogne to find a charming little island that’s home to one of the most beautiful rose gardens in the region. It’s a wonderful, colorful, and fragrant sight you won’t want to miss.

An Eden Garden in the Midst of Water

It’s on the island of Puteaux, in the Hauts-de-Seine, where you are invited to discover this one-of-a-kind space. Because in the middle of the Lebaudy park, there’s a peaceful spot, straight out of a storybook.fairy tale with no fewer than 1600 rose plants from 200 different varieties. All of this is set in a French landscaped garden that will leave absolutely no one indifferent.

This classified site, 2 km long, is home to the famous « Rose de Puteaux », the favorite variety of perfumers and pharmacists in the 18th and 19th centuries. Nicknamed « the rose of perfumers », this species is known for its olfactory virtues, as well as its medicinal properties, and it continues to thrive day after day in the heart of this true Eden Garden. A legacy that reminds us even today of the importance of rose cultivation during that time.

A huge playground

The rose garden is also characterized by its incredible blue fountains (which make us want to jump right in), a stream, sculptures, and delightful surprises at every turn!

or even arches covered in flowers. But the Lebaudy park isn't the only attraction on the island, as its green spaces cover over 30,000 m². The park also features a play area that will delight the little ones, a beehive producing every year high-quality honey, and even a butterfly meadow since 2009. In short, it’s the perfect spot for a sunny picnic, a bucolic stroll, or, more generally, a break away from the hustle and bustle of the big city. A dream!
