Who said that winter is the most depressing season of the year ? Because here at Bonbon, we completely disagree. First of all, it’s the Christmas season (which means presents, and yes, we’re a bit materialistic). Then, there are pretty lights everywhere, and it sparkles. And finally, ice rinks pop up all over Paris, allowing us to relive our biggest cheesy holiday movie fantasies. It fills us with joy, but let’s be honest, spending an arm and a leg to slide under the glass roof of the Grand Palais among 200 people who can’t stand upright isn’t really our thing. So, we’re offering you a much nicer, and most importantly, free alternative!
Long Live the Glide
Well, this weekend, you have two choices. Either you rush with the hundreds of curious folks who are...
ready to brave the restrictions and the metro disruptions to head into the heart of Paris, hoping to catch a glimpse of the ceremony for the reopening of Notre-Dame ; or you’re clever and choosing to head to the left bank of the Seine instead, to enjoy a relaxing moment on the ice.Voir cette publication sur Instagram
To get there, head just a stone's throw from the Dome des Invalides, on Avenue de Breteuil. From December 7 to 29, the 7th arrondissement town hall is launching a lovely 200 m² eco-friendly Christmas skating rink on the Chaban-Delmas esplanade. It's quite a magical place that welcomes both adults and kids for introductory skating workshops (because using walkers on ice is only fun for a minute), as well as various Christmas activities.
Maximum Fun
To enjoy this super festive space and 100% Christmas, come visit every day from 11 AM to 6 PM (except December 25, because of the holiday). Access to the rink is completely free, but if you don’t have your own pair of skates (we won’t judge, we promise), you can of course rent some!
on-site. But it's not free, sorry, you can't have it all either...Patineurs devant le Panthéon.

Just like exercising makes you hungry, you'll find everything you need to recharge your energy right next to the ice rink. Warm drinks and winter treats are waiting to warm your hearts and hands. And if the 7th district feels a bit too far, don’t worry, there are other ice rinks scattered throughout the city.
