This year again, Benjamin Millepied is getting ready to take over the iconic venues of the capital with an ambitious project: transforming the city into a dance stage under the open sky. This program is part of the "Paris Dance Project: La Ville dansée". To discover these performances that promise to be quite grand, join us from June 5 to 8 at several emblematic locations of the City of Light.
Exceptional shows open to all
We often talk about making culture accessible to as many people as possible, whether by choosing more suitable venues or by offering attractive pricing. Here, Benjamin Millepied combines both to present us with dance performances that are free to access, at no cost, for the simply wonderful reason that...
they will take place in the public space of Paris!See this post on Instagram
Someone who certainly has the perfect last name for their profession is inviting this year 4 exceptional choreographers to imagine a collective ballet, which will be performed by around fifteen dancers in 7 iconic locations in Paris and its surroundings, for 7 magical performances. From The Mon Born in Paris at the Gare de Lyon, passing through La Villette and the Hangar Y, performances will take place over 4 days at 12:30 PM, 5 PM, or 7:30 PM.
A link between city and art
After the theme of “buried or lost stories that shaped the city” in 2024, this year’s focus is on “the challenges of hypermodernity.” To explore this, Benjamin Millepied has invited politologist and essayist Asma Mhalla to engage in conversation with him, embodying this artistic and political experimentation alongside the dancers.
