Free beach volleyball courts set up all summer in front of the Town Hall!

One year after the excitement of the Olympics, sports continue to fill the streets of the capital. And all summer long, since July 12th, as part of Paris Plage, free beach volleyball courts are set up right in front of the Paris City Hall. It's a great opportunity to get active, soak up the sun, and feel the rhythm of Brazil.

Every summer for over 20 years now, Paris Plages continues to delight Parisians seeking a bit of freshness. And for this year 2025, marking the France-Brazil season, this must-see event celebrates Brazilian culture in style! Many free activities await you all summer long, in a unique atmosphere, including 3 incredible sandy areas right in the heart of the capital.

A new change this summer is welcoming an event that’s as festive as it is sporty. Indeed, until August 20th, there are 3 beach volleyball courts open for Parisian players every day from 1 PM to 7 PM, for free. The 3 areas will be accessible without reservation, you just need to show up with your team and take off your shoes to start playing. And if the crowd gets too big, an waiting list system has been set up by the organizing teams on site to make things easier.


A Green and Yellow Summer

To complement this decor blending sand and grass, this extension of Paris Plages is set (like the rest of the installations) under the theme of France-Brazil Season. This is because this sport is an integral part of the culture of the featured country all across France in 2025, and also because there are 2 food trucks on the forecourt that will celebrate Brazilian cuisine all summer long.

And if what matters to you in sports is to éviscerate the competition (we might judge you a little, but hey, everyone has their tastes and aspirations), know that official tournaments are held every Saturday from 1:30 PM to 7 PM by the French Volleyball Federation. Once again, there's no need to sign up; just show up starting at 1 PM to try your luck. So, are you ready to wear out your forearms ?
