After the Music Festival, there's one event that we particularly look forward to in Paris: the celebration of July 14th, Bastille Day! Every year, the capital goes all out with ingenuity and creativity to offer a truly grand day for Parisians. And 2025 will be no exception. Military parade, public dances, fireworks… The lineup promises to be as breathtaking as it is packed!

The traditional military parade at the start of the day

As tradition has it since 1980, the morning of July 14th is dedicated to the military parade on the Champs-Élysées. Starting at 10 a.m., over 5,600 participants will hit the pavement alongside 247 vehicles, 200 horses, 68 airplanes, and 34 helicopters on the world’s most famous avenue, as noted by Loïc Mizon, Military Governor of Paris, during a press conference.

An evening filled with music and fireworks

At 9 PM, it’s time for music with the highly anticipated and unmissable Symphonic Concert of Paris at the Champ-de-Mars, right at the foot of the Eiffel Tower. It will feature the Chorus and Choir of Radio France, along with the National Orchestra of France, alongside artists like soprano Julie Fuchs, tenor Benjamin Bernheim, and cellist Gautier Capuçon. Hosted by Stéphane Bern, this 13th edition will be broadcast live on France 2 and France Inter. The concert will be accessible to everyone outdoors, for free and without reservation.

As the highlight of a magnificent evening, the concert will be followed by the grand fireworks display on July 14 starting at 11 PM. The pyrotechnic show, blending sound, light, and visual effects, will be launched from the Eiffel Tower and broadcast live so that as many viewers as possible can enjoy it. As part of the France-Brazil season, this colorful show will feature many Brazilian influences. To continue the festivities, head to the various fire stations in Paris to join in the popular dances that will keep you twirling until dawn!
