In recent weeks, beaches and swimming spots are reopening one after the other around the waters of the Île-de-France region. This is fantastic news, especially since the thermometer has decided to reach some frankly questionable levels these last few days. And after Joinville-le-Pont, the Saint-Martin canal, and l’Isle-Adam, it's now the turn of the city of Meaux to reopen its summer spot on July 5th. And we’ll explain why you shouldn’t miss out.
A moment of escape less than an hour from Paris
To access this oasis, head to the Gare de l’Est, where you can catch a Transilien train (line P, to be precise). The charming town of Meaux is just a quick 25-minute trip away. Once you arrive, even if you feel like it, there’s no time for sightseeing; we’re here for one thing and one thing only: to take a dip! To do this, you can either hop on a bus tour or take a stroll if you’re feeling adventurous, and soon you’ll find yourself at the beach. In this fine sandy area, a swimming zone awaits you from July 5th to August 23rd, offering exhilarating swimming sessions that are open from 11 AM to 8 PM. All of this takes place in a turquoise water that could rival the most beautiful mountain lakes. Trust us, it’s a refreshing change from the doubtful waters of the Seine, and you won’t have to worry about running into a Vélib while jumping in!

A Wealth of Activities
In addition to abeautiful swimming spot, the beach of Meaux offers a whole bunch of activities that everyone will enjoy. There are sunbeds for relaxing, a kiddie pool and a sandy play area for the little ones, volleyball and badminton courts, a mini-golf, inflatable structures, and of course, a variety of water activities (like kayaking, paddle boarding and all their fun variations involving strolling and yoga), as well as boat rentals without a license, courtesy of Marin d’eau douce. There will also be food and drink options available, ensuring that no one goes hungry. And for a perfect day...
Just pay the modest sum of 8€ per person (4€ for children aged 4 to 10). See you in 15 days for a first splash?personne me croit qd je dis que y a une plage à meaux
