With the heatwave that has hit the capital, all we want is to run away to enjoy some well-deserved vacation. However, we all know that it’s not always possible due to work commitments, kids to drop off at school, or simply a bank account as dry as a desert. Luckily, Le Bonbon is here to offer you some alternatives, which might not be as tempting as a week in the Bahamas, we totally agree, but still a bit appealing.
Pleasure within RER reach
After introducing you to a number of beaches and water spots across Île-de-France, this time we invite you to discover...
r the leisure island of Cergy-Pontoise. Getting there is a breeze, just take a quick ride on the RER A from Gare de Lyon, Châtelet, Charles-de-Gaulle Étoile or any other station that suits you to Cergy-Préfecture, then hop on a bus that will take you straight to the leisure center. And once you're there, the fun knows no limits, because you have a whopping 250 hectares of activities and swimming areas, including 5000 m² of fine sandy beach waiting just for you. And let me tell you, with this setup, everyone will have the chance to splash around and beat the nearly 40°C heat that awaits us.Voir cette publication sur Instagram
A Bounty of Activities
Besides being a perfect spot to chill out, the leisure island of Cergy offers a whole bouquet of activities to enjoy a great afternoon. In the water, you can explore a massive floating water park filled with slides, inflatable structures, obstacle courses, and jumping platforms. You can also try your hand at extreme sports (we don't need much more than that): water skiing, sailing, paddle boarding, rowing and even rafting. On land, no worries, there’s plenty to do as well, because the leisure base gives you access to tennis lessons, padel, climbing walls, mountain biking trails, archery ranges, or even paintball. However, keep in mind that you'll need to pay €7 per adult for access to the beach, and possibly add .
a surplus for access to different activities.See this post on Instagram
