If there's one thing that sets the rhythm of Parisian life, it's the excitement of new things. This weekend, on October 4th and 5th, 2025, the 10th arrondissement of the capital is about to experience some exciting changes. MansA, the House of African Worlds, is opening its doors for the very first time to the public. It’s a great opportunity to enjoy a unique space of 800 square meters, featuring exhibitions, film clubs, literary meetings, live performances, and many other forms of artistic expressions. Let Art and History Speak
Until now, Mans has already offered a artistic program across the city, but this will be the first time the cultural institution will have a permanent establishment open to the public. The goal? To create a hybrid space dedicated to African and Afro-diasporic cultures, where all artistic disciplines have their place and new talents from the Parisian, French, or even international scene can emerge. Here, whether you're an artist or an intellectual, the aim is to push the boundaries of creativity and open the dialogue.
All Forms of Artistic Expression and Creation Offered
In this living laboratory...
», the programming promises to be particularly rich. On the 7th Art side, a selection of films — fictions, documentaries… — will be made and presented every month as part of the « CinéMansA » to discover the diversity of African and Afro-diasporic cinema. On the music side, cycles of listening to Afro-diasporic music will also be regularly offered to provide a shared musical experience, at the intersection of transmission and memory. The artist Roxane Mbanga will have the honor of presenting the first exhibition in this new space. Titled Noires, it will be available from October 4 to 26, 2025. Presented as a Grand Salon where one can find refuge, the exhibition will blend objects and historical narratives.
