This is our must-visit event once the beautiful days arrive: this year again, the Summer of the Canal is back from June 27 to August 9, 2026, to captivate the people of Île-de-France. With cultural activities and sports animations, this new edition promises to make the summer season a fun and festive time. And since 2026 brings newness, the Summer of the Canal will feature seven themed weekends to help you discover worlds that are as rich as they are eclectic!

Unmissable Highlights
Grab your calendars and mark Saturday, June 27th. The festival will kick off with the iconic Canal en pagaies. What is it? A big 10-kilometer descent along the Ourcq canal, from Sevran to Pantin, in canoes and kayaks, accessible to everyone. It's the perfect way to set the tone for summer!

Another major highlight: the Great Olympic Heritage Walk, which was established in 2025, one year after Paris hosted the Olympic and Paralympic Games, and continues this year to keep this beautiful story alive. On Saturday, August 1st, you can join this cultural hike, which has expanded this year with 5 walking and biking routes, allowing you to (re)discover the iconic locations of the Paris 2024 Games.
Activities to enjoy on the water and along the banks
Want a glimpse of the rest of the summer? You can enjoy the must-do boat cruises .thematic cruises that will delight the curious and get the party-goers dancing. It's up to you to choose between a riverside getaway dedicated to street art on the Canal Saint-Denis or the Canal de l'Ourcq, a cinema cruise followed by an outdoor movie session at La Villette, or a festive cruise with a DJ set. Good news: the river shuttles will also be back to take you, at very low prices, from one activity point to another between Paris, Pantin, Bobigny, Bondy (only on July 18 and 19) and Aulnay/Pavillons. The thematic cruises and river shuttles will start on July 4.
.
By the water, we’ll be swept away by concerts and dances that will have us showing off our best rock, tango, and salsa moves. The little ones and families won’t be left out with dance performances and circus shows offered all summer long, along with free artistic and hands-on workshops. In short, summer is set to be sparkling, and we’re bubbling with excitement!
