The Editor

At 231 meters above sea level, the Élancourt hill touches the sky in the Paris region. Nestled in the heart of Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines, it might not look like much at first glance… but oh, how wrong that would be! Once filled with rubble and waste, it has undergone a spectacular transformation and has become a vast outdoor playground where sports, strolls, and fresh air are just a step away!

A Highly Sporty Hill

After hosting the mountain biking events for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, the Élancourt hill has been completely revamped into a massive 52-hectare public space, dedicated to leisure, sports… and stunning views. Thanks to an investment of 7 million euros from the Department, the hill is entering a new era, focused on heritage and shared enjoyment.

What's on the agenda? Mountain biking trails for all levels, pathways for joggers…

and the walkers, a pumptrack for free access, fun play areas for the little ones, picnic spots… all with a clear view of the most beautiful Parisian monuments (yes, including the Eiffel Tower). In short, it’s the perfect sport to take a big breath of fresh air and get a shot of adrenaline.

Animations, medalists, and a festive atmosphere!

On May 17th, Élancourt hill will be the place to be. Starting at 2 PM, there will be free activities for everyone: BMX Freestyle demonstrations, sports introductions, nature escape game, hiking, mountain biking... The playground is huge, and the possibilities are endless. And for the more adventurous, at 5 PM, it's time to lace up your sneakers for a 5 km trail!

The highlight? A opening show at 6 PM featuring medalists from the 2024 Games, including Pauline Ferrand-Prévot (gold), Victor Koretzky (silver), and Anthony Jean Jean (French BMX freestyle champion). And to wrap it all up in style: a festive evening atmosphere with DJ sets and food trucks until 9:30 PM!
