Recently, climbing gyms have been popping up all over Paris! But what if we told you that we've found the best ones? On one side, Climb Up Paris Porte d’Italie boasts 4000 m² of climbing space, specializing in bouldering. On the other side, there's Climb Up Aubervilliers, with an incredible 8000 m² focused more on roped climbing, making it the largest indoor climbing gym in Europe. Here’s a little overview of what these exceptional gyms have to offer!

The best climbing gym on the Left Bank

Head to Porte d’Italie. Here, regardless of your level, you’ll find everything you need to become an amazing climber. There are kids' areas, 8 levels of difficulty, a muscle strengthening space, and new climbing blocks to tackle each week. Classes are offered throughout the year for children, adults, and to learn safety techniques. And let's not forget a coworking space, a sauna, and a steam room (all included in the entry price), plus a pool table and foosball. People come here to climb, but there’s so much more, all at prices that are more than reasonable. For the more daring, there's the Spray Wall, a fun mix of holds tilted at 50 degrees, which will challenge even the best. In fact, we’ve heard that even Olympic athletes spotted recently in Paris come specifically to this gym to train there…

In Aubervilliers, the same formula, but even grander! Extraordinary arches await you to climb to your heart's content and test super comprehensive climbing routes. We recommend checking out the Highball, a competition where climbers leap from the top of these arches onto a gigantic inflatable mat—it's spectacular! Alongside that, you'll find traditional routes (which you can tackle solo thanks to auto-belay systems), a sauna, the Spray Wall… And the cherry on top, a restaurant where the chef goes above and beyond to treat you after your climb. Plus, during the open house days on September 14 in Aubervilliers and September 15 at Porte d’Italia, entry is free for everyone, with free introductory sessions in bouldering and climbing as well. In short, at Climb Up, you feel right at home, everyone helps each other out, making climbing the ultimate social sport!
