Dreaming of visiting a real Christmas market, 100% authentic, like the ones you can find in Strasbourg? Dear Parisian friends, you don't have to go far or take the 1h45 train ride to visit the Christmas capital: this year, it's coming to you! As tradition holds for 43 years now, the Alsace Christmas market is making its grand return to Paris, in front of the Gare de l’Est, from November 28 to December 14.
Celebrating Alsatian Gastronomy
Paris understands that what really matters when visiting a Christmas market is good food. In 2025, this gem will showcase bredele (little Christmas cookies), kougelhopf, mulled wine, pretzels, and for those feeling brave, foie gras, sauerkraut, crémant, and Gewurztraminer.

To let you enjoy all these delights, around fifteen Alsatian producers will come to the capital to showcase and let you taste their products, including Maison Geismar, the Meyer distillery, the pastry shop Oster, and the must-try Fortwenger and Maison alsacienne de biscuiterie. In short, all the best of the local terroir, to indulge yourself just as it should be.Voir cette publication sur Instagram
A market to celebrate regional traditions
And the good news is, this year too, the gastronomic specialties won’t be the only stars of the show. Stalls from various tourist offices will be there to highlight the markets of the region and Alsatian traditions. On December 6th, for instance, we’ll celebrate Saint Nicholas in style, indulging in delicious Mannele made of gingerbread and brioche. There will also be activities that invite you to discover a whole bunch of local stories and customs, and artisans will immerse you in the magic of the festive season with a selection of handcrafted items, like Christmas decorations. It’s the perfect opportunity to kick off your holiday shopping in the market. more pure tradition.
