While we still have in mind the fantastic images of the European champions on the most beautiful avenue in the world last year, or the brand new world champions in 2018, this year, there will be no celebration on the Champs in sight. Even worse, the area will be completely closed starting Saturday afternoon to avoid any overflow. But will we have the chance to cheer on those who could accomplish the feat of lifting the trophy for the second consecutive year?
Safety first
This weekend, the atmosphere promises to be euphoric in the capital. On the agenda, a Champions League final, a concert by Aya Nakamura…
At the Stade de France, from Damso to the Adidas Arena, and from Bouss to the AccorArena. Not to forget Roland-Garros which continues to thrive. But here’s the thing, with all these events, it could cause some crowd movements.🚨 IL N’Y AURA PAS DE PARADE SUR LES CHAMPS-ÉLYSÉES EN CAS DE VICTOIRE DU PSG EN FINALE DE LIGUE DES CHAMPIONS !! ❌🥳

This is why the police prefecture has opposed the wish of Emmanuel Grégoire to set up a fan zone at the Champ-de-Mars and has decided to close off a wide area around the Champs from early afternoon, both for parking (starting at 3 PM) and traffic (starting at 5 PM). The avenue will be closed until 5 AM on Sunday, May 31, and especially will not welcome the team the following day.
A backup solution
However, don’t worry! You’ll still have the opportunity to pay tribute to the potential future winners (we're showing support). In case of a win, they will indeed head to the Champ-de-Mars for a celebration with fans.
more than deserved. And it’s actually not so bad, since the venue, completely open and without nearby shops, allows for a certain number of people to gather with fewer security constraints. In fact, this is where PSG was supposed to go last year, before a pre-announced demonstration forced them to relocate to the Champs-Élysées. For now, however, and perhaps out of superstition (which we totally understand), the information remains vague regarding the time, the number of expected attendees, or a possible detour by the Elysée. In the meantime, see you on Saturday for the match!#UCLFinal | Dans le cadre de la finale de la Ligue des Champions, le Paris Saint-Germain affrontera Arsenal le samedi 30 mai 2026 à 18 heures à Budapest.
