The opening is smooth, but it happens. Césure, the new venue located on the former site of Sorbonne Nouvelle, is about to delight our beautiful summer days. The 25,000m2 space, established for the next two years before the site construction begins, brings together a festive, community-oriented, and gastronomic area with a canteen, endless events, and structures set up in the former classrooms. Just like at La Caserne, these 180 associative or engaged structures are invited to take possession of the premises on the upper floors. Here, the focus is on the transmission of knowledge, to continue making the site a place where we learn, exchange, share, and spread... On the ground floor, the university cafeteria becomes a drag queen cabaret, and a former university library is transformed into a solidarity canteen that offers seasonal vegetarian cuisine, open from Tuesday to v.On Fridays from 12pm to 2pm, and on Wednesday and Thursday evenings from 6pm to 11pm, there is a special rate for students. As for the main library, which is 1000m2, it hosts film shoots, exhibitions, fashion shows, and all kinds of events... A veggie kitchen, conferences, sunshine, and good vibes Beyond all of that, there is a whole lineup of committed events starting this month, including concerts, festivals, workshops, conferences, and readings all over the site. There will even be conferences in the lecture halls of the university that may bring back some good or bad memories for former Paris 3 students. And there will also be a queer and feminist Music Festival to dance the night away. The diverse lineup caters to all ages and interests, with an Emmaüs thrift shop, an organization that fights against menstrual poverty, support for students, and roller disco afternoons... The added bonus? The courtyard of the university, once just a simple passageway.sage, transforms into a refreshment stand all summer long to sip lemonade in the sun. Such a great, cool, and vibrant spot in the heart of the Latin Quarter, it's delightful.
