It's at the edge of the Vincennes Woods, across from the Saint-Mandé Lake, that the Chalet du Lac has been welcoming guests for over 120 years now. And, just like every summer for the past 7 years, this legendary spot offers you a little extra for the sunny days: lounging on one of the Beds (or sun loungers) set up on the fine, golden sand to enjoy the sunshine. All of this, of course, while sipping on a delicious cocktail and flipping through the pages of your favorite book !
A terrace like no other
If you're feeling tired of the same old Parisian bistro terrace or the crowded open-air spots to enjoy a bit of sunshine and get your dose of vitamin D, here’s an alternative that should delight you. An incredible beach of fine sand, at the gates of the capital, waiting for you to discover!
Immediate feeling of being on a tour of the most paradise-like beaches in the world. Over 1000 m², the Chalet du Lac offers you cozy Beds for two, or more traditional loungers, to settle down and enjoy the beautiful weather.

On the beach or sitting around a table, you can also enjoy the moment by savoring delicious dishes and refreshing drinks from the restaurant Lïa, which is also located within the Chalet grounds. On the menu, you’ll find plates filled with mezzés inspired by Levantine flavors — and an amazing brunch on Sundays — paired with exotic cocktails. With all of that, it’s easy to forget that you’re only a few minutes’ walk from the ring road. And we certainly don’t mind that.
Happiness, but at what price ?
Be careful, if this dreamy schedule makes your mouth water, we’d like to give you a heads up, it takes a bit of effort to enjoy, since the services are not cheap. For the rental of a Bed...For two, you need to budget for 45€ for half a day, and 80€ for a full day. As for the simple sunbed, the prices become a bit more reasonable: 15 and 25€. We were talking about a change of scenery earlier, and with these prices, you'll feel right on the French Riviera!

And if the towels are included in the rental (that's nice), the drinks and meals are, of course, not included. And let's be clear, eating on the beach is truly a privilege! The mezzés, which correspond to half-starters according to the restaurant, are priced at the modest sum of €12. At that price, we recommend you go straight for the main dishes, which range from €15 to €22. As for the cocktails, the same goes, you'll need to budget €14, compared to €10 for the mocktails. So, it seems that non-alcoholic drinks really do have their perks.
So yes, we might not spend all our weekends here, but hey, we think that for the poor Parisians who have to stay in Paris for the summer, this could still be a fun option.
a little nice break away from the daily grind, right? Especially if we take the time to join in on the different activities regularly offered at the venue !Parisian Beach
