October means Halloween. And when you think Halloween, you think pumpkins, of course! We know it’s not the easiest thing to find right in the heart of Paris, but you don’t have to go too far to discover some hidden gems. Head to les Fermes de Gally in Saint-Denis, Sartrouville, and Saint-Cyr-l’École, where Pumpkin Festivals will be held from October 24 to 31, 2025, so you can fully enjoy the autumn season.

The Return of the Jack O'Lantern
In the three cities, workshops for carving your pumpkin are organized over a week. You get to pick your favorite pumpkin, then draw the scariest face you can, before chiseling it to transform it into a Halloween lantern, once a candle is placed inside. It's a perfect activity to do with family!

Pumpkins Grown at the Gates of Paris
The pumpkins are local too! They are grown in the Plain of Versailles and carefully harvested to be distributed to Saint-Denis, Sartrouville, and Saint-Cyr-l’École, ready to be carved just before Halloween. Keep in mind, space is limited for these workshops that last between 30 and 45 minutes, so it’s necessary to book in advance. Once the activity is done, the farms offer a little stroll to discover the different animals that live on site!
