Back-to-school has barely wrapped up, and Halloween candles haven't even had time to blow out—or light up, for that matter—when already, Christmas magic is beginning to cast its spell over the capital and its surroundings. Indeed, one after another, the green spaces of Paris and beyond are starting to reveal their dazzling light programs, and it all kicks off this Saturday, October 17th, with one of the most enchanting trails in the Île-de-France region!

Christmas lovers who wait all year for one thing — Mariah Carey to properly kick off the holiday season with her timeless anthem — we have wonderful news for you: just a stone's throw from the capital, there's a truly unique place where the magical glow of December lights is about to shine brighter than ever. Starting this Saturday and running through early March, head to the Yvelines for a new edition of Thoiry Wild Lights, which takes you on a journey through the secrets of Mother Earth.


Heading to South America

After taking us traveling into the imaginary world

From Jules Verne two years ago, then through the myths and legends of Mexico in 2025, this year, Thoiry Wild Light invites us to embark In the footsteps of Pachamama. In Andean cultures, the latter embodies Mother Earth, nurturing nature. And for this new edition, the largest illuminated trail in Île-de-France invites you to step into an adventurer's shoes, and let yourself be guided by animals to try to uncover a secret buried for decades. A true epic that will take you from the depths of the ocean to the icy expanses of Greenland, passing through the steppes of Mongolia and the sacred landscapes of India, to lead you all the way to Perute;rou.


An extraordinary show

To keep you entertained throughout the entire fall and winter, each evening as darkness falls, no fewer than 3,000 lanterns are deployed across the Thoiry estate, creating a three-kilometer path. And what's moreNew this year: a free app to download that guides you throughout the walk and lets you follow the story in real time for a totally unique and immersive experience. Animals, plants and creatures create a magical setting, showcasing cultures from around the world to answer an essential question: what is the thread that connects all living beings to one another? Mixing mysticism, nature and magic, this 9th edition promises to be just as breathtaking as the others, and we can't wait to discover it this weekend!
