Iconic monument of Place de la Concorde, this superb architectural ensemble created in the 18th century by Ange-Jacques Gabriel, the first architect of the King, is rising from its ashes for the past two years. Visitors can discover a series of 18th-century furnished apartments, reception rooms as well as several living spaces in a fully restored building. In addition to the various guided tours offered, a series of events are organized throughout the year, such as the upcoming September 23rd.
A grand Franco-English medieval feast
So, this weekend, the museum goes even further by hosting a Franco-English medieval ball. Organized by the association Carnet de bals, they will recreate the festive folklore atmosphere of medieval celebrations. Specializeds in the reconstitution of grand historical balls, members of the association will enjoy the elegant Cour d'honneur of the monument, open to both visitors and walkers for the occasion.
