She is beautiful, you eat incredibly well... L'Alsace is, objectively, the cutest and most comforting region. Located just 1 hour and 45 minutes by train from Paris, we willingly go there for a weekend, especially now, with the wonderful Christmas markets in Strasbourg and Colmar. But we understand, it can be a bit complicated to find the time to escape for a few hours. Don't panic, the capital is full of typical Alsatian places that will make you feel like you're traveling just a few steps from your home. Now, let's taste a "Flammekueche" at Schmoutz. Dear friends from Île-de-France, you're too cute wanting to use Alsatian words, but know that only non-Alsatians use the term "Flammekueche".erme « Flammekueche ». Even though the dialect is still frequently spoken in Alsace, we talk about tartes flambées. And precisely, we go to Schmoutz in the 11th arrondissement to delight ourselves with a succulent tarte flambée that is both crispy and melty, cooked in a wood-fired oven. To stay in the local atmosphere, we can only recommend the traditional one or the one with melted munster cheese. If you have a sweet tooth, we suggest the apple-cinnamon flambe with calvados, promised, it's a true delight! E Güeter (enjoy your meal)!

Let's go for a walk in little Alsace in the 13th arrondissement

Nothing is better to digest our tarte flambées than a walk! Let's head to Little Alsace, in the Butte-aux-Cailles neighborhood, in the 13th arrondissement. Like a small countryside in the heart of the city, this part of the capital almost makes us believe that we are strolling through the streets of one of the many unpronounceable Alsatian villages. These 40 typical half-timbered houses from the east of France hide behind the blue gate of 10, rue Daviel.

Just a few steps away from the Strasbourg-Saint-Denis station, Brasserie Floderer will let you discover the best of Alsatian gastronomy, in a refined and elegant setting. The must-try? Enjoy a nice glass of Alsatian wine at Bofinger

We dream of strolling through the Alsatian wine villages along the wine route. For now, let's stick to a glass of local wine at Bofinger brasserie. Crémant d'Alsace, Gewurztraminer, Riesling, Muscat, Pinot Gris or white... Whether you prefer dry or fruity, medium or sweet, Alsace has what you need! Make sure to only have a few sips, as excessive alcohol consumption is harmful to your health.

We indulge in Bredele, Bretzels and other treats at Fortwenger

There is no better time than the holiday season to spend your day indulging in Bredele (small biscuits). Located on the Champs-Elysées, the Fortwenger store, a true Alsatian institution for over 250 years, will satisfy all your cravings. Gingerbread, Mannele (brioche figurines), Kougelhopf, or even aniseed cakes, the selection is so wide that making a choice will be more than difficult. Out of the 9 Fortwenger stores, the Parisian boutique is the only one not located in Alsace, so no more excuses not to enjoy it!
