Two ribbons of tulips 250 meters long
It's a tradition that we wouldn't miss for anything in the world. Every year for over ten years, three of the gardens at the Château de Cheverny have been adorned with two fabulous ribbons of 500,000 tulips in shades of red, pink, and yellow. Measuring 250 meters long and 12 meters wide, they stand out like a work of art in the open air and provide a splendid spectacle for all visitors. A natural painting that requires the work of seven gardeners all year round.

From 100,000 to 500,000 bulbs planted
It was in 2014 that the tulip ribbon was created, with 100,000 bulbs initially planted. Year after year, the number of bulbs planted has only increased. In 2015, there were 120,000, and by 2019, it reached 150,000. In 2020, 200,000 bulbs were achieved, moving to 250,000 in 2022, and finally landing at 500,000 in 2023 and 2024, with plans to do it all again in 2025. And one thing is for sure: this year, we definitely won’t miss them!
