"Massage is not just a job, it's a true passion for me". Former nursing assistant turned esthetician, Marie has found a true calling in massage. After several years of experience in urban spas in Paris and a stint at the prestigious Spa Diane Barrière at the Hôtel Fouquet's, this 41-year-old woman from Réunion decided to create her own space in September 2022, and she continues to marvel at it. Here, no protocol is defined in advance. Marie aims to offer a tailor-made service that adapts to your expectations, desires, and current state of mind, in order to offer you a moment just for yourself. From the chosen massage oil or balm to the ambiance scent or music played, every detail matters.

At the heart of an intimate institute, people come to be pampered with a facial treatment, a scrub with sea salt crystals or Mauritian sugar, a wrap, a manicure-pedicure, or with a signature treatment, specially created by the masseuse based on her Reunion Island origins. For example, she uses the Kayamb, a traditional musical instrument from the island, made with sugar cane flower stems and filled with seeds that reproduce the sound of the waves.

A tribute to her origins that can be found even in the name of the Institute: " Le Maïdo is a high peak in Reunion Island reaching 2200 meters. When you are at the top, you witness a breathtaking and especially soothing spectacle, which allows you to refocus on yourself, to recharge. I want people to feel the same thing in my institute ».

When it comes to products, Marie uses organic skincare products from the KOS brand for her massages, and nail polish from the Manucurist brand, all of which are made in France, eco-friendly, and above all, safe for the body. She also offers you, at the end of your treatment, an organic tea from Labyrinthe En-Champ-Thé, grown and harvested on the volcanic island. "When I massage, I'm in a bubble and lose track of time. My satisfaction is seeing my clients share this feeling with me when I massage them." As you can see, Maïdo is a true haven of peace where we take the time, and we can only invite you to come visit.
