This start of the week still carries a hint of icy winter: Monday and Tuesday morning offer timidly bright spells clinging onto a thermometer that swings between 1 °C and 4 °C. But don't be fooled by this apparent calm: the clouds begin to thicken on Tuesday evening to kick off the precipitation dance on Wednesday.
The mercury then suddenly softens: from 0 °C last weekend, we jump to a high of 11 °C on Wednesday and even up to 13 °C by Friday. A flow of warm, moist air makes its entrance, with winds that could gust up to 60 km/h. So, we swap the polar village vibe for a London fog mood… and it’s time to put on some sturdy shoes to tackle the puddles.
The Seine Under Close Surveillance
Meanwhile, the Seine is up to its antics. After reaching 3.6 meters last week and forcing some quays to go underwater, the river calmed down to 2.75 meters. But with the rain forecasted, the level could rise again. If you plan a visit...
watch out on the banks, keep an eye on the announcements from Vigicrues: the Seine might surprise you.Wet weekend ahead
For the rest of the week, there's no point hoping for the sun to come back. Rain will follow one after another, with moderate showers and light drizzles, all accompanied by a strong wind that will stick around until Sunday. Temperatures will range between 8 °C and 13 °C… which should help with our next EDF bill.
