Menstrual precarity ring a bell to you? It refers to the difficulty or lack of access for menstruating individuals - those with periods - to hygienic products due to their poverty. To denounce this scourge and raise public awareness, Vania and Nett are mobilizing and taking over three important locations in the capital with "THE MISSING PIECE," an artwork representing a menstrual pad under glass, like a museum piece. The goal? To show how rare and precious hygienic products are since they are still lacking for millions of women. To discover it, meet us on May 28 at Opéra, May 31 at Place de la République, and June 1 at Bastille.

Denouncing menstrual precarity

According to a study conducted by the association Basic Rules, nearly 4 million menstruating individuals aged 18 to 50 years font.In the face of difficulties or impossibility to get hygiene products - such as tampons, pads or washable underwear - due to lack of financial means. A number that has doubled since 2021. A worrisome situation, unfortunately largely ignored by the public opinion, menstruation still being a very taboo subject in France.

For 3 years, Nett and Vania have been collaborating with the association Les Bonnes Fées, which works to make accessible suitable and safe protection, as well as proper sanitary facilities for people living with their periods. By installing this work, the two brands first bring visibility to this alarming situation, still largely ignored by the public opinion, but also invite to a collective mobilization. For each photo of the work posted on social media with the hashtags #missingpiece #comfortforall, a donation will be made to the association Les Bonnes Fées.

One product purchased, 50 cents donated

But that's not all! In addition to this initiative, Nett and Vania are launching "Comfort for All," a solidarity campaign accessible to all. For each product purchased from one of the two brands (all references included), 50 centsDonations will be made to the association Les Bonnes Fées.

To participate in this collective good deed, it's very simple: head to your favorite supermarket - Auchan, Super U, Intermarché, Monoprix, Carrefour or even Lidl according to your preferences - and purchase your hygiene products from one of these two brands so that part of your spending will be donated to support the fight against menstrual precarity. You have until June 30th!
