A yoga session at 30°C, what do you think? Right in the heart of the Sentier neighborhood, a brand new studio has just opened its doors. Well, not completely brand new. The story of Mama Yoga began 5 years ago in the apartment of Anna, the founder, in La Garenne-Colombes. There, the teacher redefines the yoga experience with her signature class: Dynamic Flow under infrared.
From passion to 3 studios
A former finance consultant, Anna decided to shift to teaching yoga in 2019 after 6 years of individual practice. She started giving classes in her own apartment through ads posted on Facebook. For two years, she built her clientele through her talent and kindness, and a little bit of word-of-mouth, before opening her first studio right downstairs in the spring of 2022. Two and a half years later, she is the heart of the community.
There are three yoga studios: in La Garenne-Colombes, in the Batignolles neighborhood (opened in September 2023), and in Sentier.

For this latest studio, opened in early November 2024, Anna was joined by Vanessa, a teacher and also the manager of the Batignolles studio, whom she met a few years earlier thanks to their shared passion. A former interior architect, Vanessa has given a true identity to the Sentier studio. Under a large glass roof filled with natural light, the main room – which can accommodate up to 27 mats – blends noble materials like wood and marble flooring. The soft, earthy tones, combined with the mirrors and the rounded lines of the arches, create a feeling of serenity and well-being. After each session, the spacious and welcoming changing rooms, equipped with high-end showers, provide a comfortable space to extend this moment of relaxation.
A New Experience of Yoga
For the classes, there’s something for everyone: gentle Soft Vinyasa for a smooth flow, Hatha Flow to work on balance, not to mention the challenging Flow & Inversions for those who love a good challenge, and Yin yoga to help you reconnect with yourself… each session is an invitation to take care of yourself, in a friendly, energizing, and generous atmosphere.

But what makes Mama Yoga special are its Dynamic Flow classes with infrared heat. The idea? Smooth sequences in a 30°C heated room to gently warm up the muscles and release tension. Less intense and more enjoyable than Bikram yoga, where rooms are usually heated to over 40°C, infrared yoga promotes flexibility and recovery while helping to keep your joints healthy.
Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced yogi, there’s something for everyone! There are classes accessible to all levels, where instructors offer a variety of modifications to allow all students to follow along at their own pace; plus, there are also special sessions for intermediate or advanced levels.

A caring and authentic practice
More than just a yoga studio, Mama Yoga is a true haven of well-being. « Yoga is a philosophy of life, a way to approach daily life, to reconnect with your inner self and with values that are dear to us such as kindness, humility, and respect », explains Anna. This mindset can also be found among the teachers at the three studios. Although each one has their own way of teaching and creating their classes and playlists, « they all share one common point : their generosity, availability, and kindness. We genuinely care to be there 100% for our students, before and after classes », adds the manager.
