The creators of Game of Thrones didn't hold back, and with The Three-Body Problem, we trust them to carry on the legacy. No spin-offs here. Goodbye House of the Dragons: this time, David Benioff and D. B. Weiss turn to a very different but equally fascinating universe.

Aliens Causing Chaos on Earth
The Three-Body Problem is one of the world's most famous science fiction trilogies, written by Chinese author Liu Cixin. For the show runners, the project was challenging due to the complexity of the story that spans time and space. Across continents and eras, the narrative is built on existing scientific foundations and questions extraterrestrial life.
The plot: after receiving a signal sent by humans into space, an extraterrestrial civilization decides to leave their hostile world and move to Earth, eliminating its inhabitants. The story is told through the perspective of a woman and explores the consequences of this encounter with an advanced alien race.
Hail; through the work of a group of scientists, this series thus traces the humans' struggle against this danger, and above all the understanding of our place in the universe.
Return of former actors from Game of Thrones
Oh joy, we find familiar faces in the series that have moved us, traumatized us and also bored us a bit in GOT. In terms of being moved, we have never forgotten the kindness of John Bradley, aka Samwell Tarly, who will be back on screen. Trauma, yes, we will have a hard time watching Jonathan Pryce, former High Sparrow, without thinking of season 6 episode 10 (favorite episode of all seasons for your journalist). And boredom because the character of Liam Cunningham, Ser Davos, has never really stood out for us. But that could change in The Three-Body Problem, who knows?

They will notably star alongside Benedict Wong (Doctor Strange), Jovan Adepo, Rosalind Chao, Eiza González (Baby Driver), Jess Hong, Marlo Kelly, Alex Sharp, Sea Shimooka, Zine Tseng, and Saamer Usmani.
A Budget of 182 Million Euros
As for the trailer, it's already impressive. The sets are again grand, the scenes are spectacular, and the visual effects are successful. And we understand why when we know the budget: for this series, Netflix has gone big and spent over 182 million euros. A blockbuster that promises to be a huge success on the platform... We'll find out on March 21st.
