It's safe to say, without a doubt, that the capital is one of the most beautiful cities in the world. And like all such places, it’s even more spectacular from above, where the horizon of rooftops stretches endlessly, and the grand monuments stand out here and there. Good news! To satisfy our cravings for breathtaking views, the capital is bursting with all kinds of rooftops. In fact, one of them has even snagged the title of the most beautiful in France!
Seventh Heaven
No need to keep you in suspense! If you want to enjoy one of the most stunning views of Paris, you simply must head to the rooftop of Les Ombres, the restaurant at the Musée du Quai Branly. According to Enjoy Travel, this spot, nestled in the shadow of the Eiffel Tower (rumor has it that's where its name comes from), gives you the sensation of being able to touch the sky!
It's the Iron Lady at your fingertips. To top it all off, they serve exquisite and subtle cuisine that leaves no one indifferent. Especially when it’s while the most famous of Parisian monuments starts shining with a thousand lights.Voir cette publication sur Instagram
A Bittersweet Victory
However, we want to put things into perspective just a little. Because while Les Ombres is apparently the most beautiful rooftop in France, it’s still far from being the most beautiful in Europe. In fact, according to the ranking by Enjoy Travel, this spot only ranks 24th on the Old Continent. It’s in the top half, sure, but just barely, and that’s not very glorious either. To discover the absolute best, you’ll need to head to A for Athens (so Athens), the Saint Sky bar in Santorini, Greece as well, or the Azotea del Circulo in Madrid.

France is Still Represented
Fortunately, to save a tiny bit of face, two other French establishments are also in this top 50, after the Parisian spot, as you might have guessed. We’re talking about Dantès Skylounge in Marseille, which lands the 45th place thanks to its beautiful view of the harbor, and SEEN by Olivier in Nice (37th place) with its breathtaking perspective of the French Riviera. Now you know where to go to get a little lift, and if you're curious about the full ranking, it’s right here !
