We often talk about Paris as a "museum city," a bit too frozen in time and a little too touristy. But what if this term actually had a genuine added value for the capital? According to a new study published by the site Compare the Market AU, it's in Paris, among all the major European cities, that creative minds are most likely to thrive, thanks to a selection that outshines the competition.

Museums and galleries galore

To carry out this study, the survey site first focused on the number of cultural institutions in the capital, which includes galleries and

Some pretty interesting job opportunities

The second and final criterion analyzed for this study: the number of creative job opportunities as well as the average salary that the most imaginative among us can expect. And while London, with its 2,334 job offers for an average salary of €4,031, leads the way ahead of Paris, our 1,929 cultural positions still allow the capital to retain its top spot. This position is further strengthened by the presence of some of the greatest fashion and architecture houses. The English capital, therefore, takes the second spot on the podium, followed by Amsterdam and its famous museums (Rijksmuseum and Van Gogh, just to name a few). The top 10 is rounded out by Dublin, Prague, Milan, Berlin, Barcelona, Manchester. and Brussels. If this can give you ideas for your next vacation, why not? But clearly, you are never better served than at home.
