While wandering around Val-d’Oise (95), you'll find around 6,000 references in a variety of genres – novels, essays, comics, mangas, CDs, vinyl records, and documentaries – all offered for the sweet price of one euro each. It's a fantastic sale, so highly sought after, so don’t wait to find your next favorite work!

With thousands of members – 2,147 in 2024, according to Le Parisien – the Persan media library boasts a spacious area (1200 m2) and a treasure trove of fascinating references (over 30,000). However, every year, a minority of these remain unsold. To clear them out and have a fresh collection, the public institution organizes a flash sale spread over a few days, eagerly anticipated by budget-conscious Parisians who are watching their spending. « The idea is to make reading accessible to the greatest number of people.

Thousands of gems still available 

Even though the event is coming to an end, don’t worry: this weekend, 1,000 items were sold, ensuring that latecomers have a chance for some great shopping sessions. The hours are pretty extensive, especially on Wednesday, July 30: you can dive into the media library starting at 10 AM until closing time at 6 PM. The following day, which marks the end of the event, you’ll only have the afternoon to clear the shelves, from 3 PM to 6 PM.
