The Editor

We'll be honest with you, here at the editorial team, we love spring and we truly believe it's the best season to experience in the capital. Don't agree? Let us prove to you ten reasons why we're right!

1. We can once again sip drinks on the terrace

We've been waiting for this time of year with the greatest impatience, the moment we can finally settle on the terrace without shivering. We hope you have your sunglasses in your bag because from now until September, it's all about those afterworks on the rattan chairs of the various terraces, with the golden hour as a bonus, of course!

2. Daylight Saving Time is here!

And just like that, we get to fully enjoy this golden hour starting from the beginning of April! On March 29th, we’ll spring forward into daylight saving time. Do you know what that means? Longer days, fabulous sunsets, pure bliss!

3. Let’s stroll through blooming parks and gardens!

Whether it’s the Jardin des Tuileries, Buttes Chaumont, or Jardin du Luxembourg, we all agree that the green spaces of the capital are beautiful all year round. But let’s be honest, when flower beds burst into lovely colors and the scent of freshly cut grass fills the air, it instantly brings a wonderfully cheerful vibe!

Optional, something we will never tire of.

4. It's warm, but not too warm

In winter, you have to layer up so much that you end up looking like the Michelin Man just to stay warm. In summer, every little piece of fabric feels like too much, you're sweating as if you just ran a marathon after 5 hours, sticking to everything and everyone. In spring, the weather is just right! ```bsp;? It's ideal. It's warm enough to go out with a light jacket without risking freezing, but the temperatures aren't quite calling for us to spend our days with our heads in front of the fan.

5. We're partying outdoors

Jardin21, La Prairie du Canal, Canal Barboteur, and many more… All these essential open-air spots in the capital are making a comeback starting this April. In these spaces, we chill, we dance, we join workshops, in short, we buzz during the day, in the evening, and until the early morning

6. Let's Soak in the Heights with Rooftops

We'll never tire of the breathtaking views that the rooftops offer us. As spring arrives, bars and restaurants invite us once again to take some time up high with their stunning terraces.

7. The City is Pleasant and Not Yet Overrun with Tourists

The summer holidays haven't arrived yet, and the influx of tourists is still moderate. Aside from the incredibly touristy spots like the Arc de Triomphe, Trocadéro, or Notre-Dame, as long as it's still spring, we can almost enjoy our capital without getting lost in the crowds of travelers from around the globe.

8. We ditch the metro to hop on our bike

The weather is lovely, your hands won’t turn into ice sculptures, so you can happily bring out your trusty steed aka your bike to get to work. And honestly, between a little pedaling session in the fresh air under the sun, and being squished between the bar to hold onto and metro passengers who are convinced there’s still plenty of room for another person in the remaining three centimeters, the choice is pretty clear!

9. People are friendlier and happier

There’s no denying it: when the weather is better, Parisians are too. Suddenly, smiles appear on lips, friendliness becomes the norm, and interactions are way more pleasant.

imples.

10. There are plenty of public holidays, so Paris is less crowded

One of the biggest perks of spring is that the season comes with a lot of public holidays, allowing for many long weekends. We can assure you that in May, Paris will feel deserted as Parisians head off to all corners of France and Europe.
