The Editor

In Paris, there’s no shortage of culinary institutions. La Coupole, Les Deux Magots, Le Train Bleu… The iconic spots, must-visit eateries, and other typical brasseries are simply endless. Here at Bonbon, we love to share with you the stories of these extraordinary places, filled with History and deliciousness. Today, we’re taking you to discover an unmissable meat restaurant in the capital, which opened in 2018 in one of the oldest establishments in Paris.

A lost treasure

The story of this gorgeous restaurant in Art Nouveau style begins in 1898, when the address first opened as Fermette Marbeuf. The place has an architectural charm...

A rather unusual lecture that enjoyed a resounding success during the 1900 World Fair. You must admit that this kind of winter garden with its magnificent stained glass, frescoes, and ceramics typical of the Belle Époque, has plenty to capture the curiosity of visitors.

However, very quickly, the decor was covered and fell into oblivion, until some work in 1978, almost 100 years later, brought back to this architectural masterpiece its former splendor. So much so that the building was even classified as a historic monument in 1983. And more than a century after its opening, not only does it continue to dazzle everyone who visits, but since 2018, it has also been treating them to mouth-watering meat dishes.

Exceptional Quality Meat

Today renowned as the BeefBar (quite an evocative name, wouldn’t you agree?), the restaurant offers plates featuring exceptional cuts of beef. Here, the American Black Angus, the Wagyu from Australia or the must-try certified Kobe beef can be enjoyed as whole cuts or transformed into unmissable versions of street food.

Rare and exceptional products served with an incredible homemade puree that comes in all flavors (literally: truffle, caviar, meat juice, lemon, chili), crispy fries, and little vegetables cooked to perfection. BeefBar is an essential spot for meat lovers, as well as art and architecture enthusiasts!
