We're listening to non-stop rap at La Villette
Fifteen years after the first edition of the 50 Hours of Non-Stop Rap – where Oxmo Puccino, Orelsan, Seth Gueko, L'Algérino and X-Men had performed back then – the challenge is back on at La Villette in XXL format with The 100 Hours of Non-Stop Rap. The concept is simple, for 4 days and 4 hours, no fewer than 350 rappers, DJs and beatmakers take turns on the Freestyle Villette stage to bring us the longest freestyle in history. And it was Fianso who kicked things off this Wednesday, September 2nd, accompanied over four days by artists like Kacem Wapalek, Youssef Swatt's, Hayce Lemsi, Busta Flex, Alibi Montana, Kohndo and Nakk Mendosa, joined by emerging talents selected through a national competition. Every hour, five of them pass the mic on an instrumental inlive, to share their texts and their flow.

We're obsessed with Korean salted breads
Just a stone's throw from square du Temple, a brand new spot has just arrived. On September 1st, Salted Boy opened its ovens in the 3rd arrondissement to launch Paris's very first boutique entirely dedicated to salted bread, that delightful brioche rolled around a generous block of butter. Originating in Japan before becoming hugely popular in Korea, it has hints of croissant, milk bread, and pretzel (yes, all of that!). When baked, the butter melts slowly into the heart of the dough and caramelizes the outside. The result? A golden, crispy crust while the inside stays wonderfully soft. The whole thing is topped off with a little pinch of salt on top.

We're discovering Syd's new album on stage at La Cigale
Made famous with the Odd Future collective – alongside Frank Ocean and Tyler, The Creator – Syd has been bringing a lovely freshness to the contemporary R'n'B scene since 2017. On a European tour for her new album Beard (released last July), a project rooted in a spirit of maturity and coming of age, the artist is treating us to a Paris concert this Saturday on the stage of La Cigale.
