Celebrating Urban Literatures at La Gaîté Lyrique
The Urban Literatures Festival and Awards is back for its 3rd edition at La Gaîté Lyrique. What's on the agenda? Two days to discover the writers who tell the stories of cities in new ways, reflecting the social, political, and cultural realities of our time. From the outskirts to city centers, including popular and upscale neighborhoods, the festival offers a diversity of voices, backgrounds, languages, and experiences, deeply connected to literary and cultural resistances.

We’re going to see a funny and touching play at the Manufacture des Abbesses
Valéry, a writer and Parisian, decides to move to Miremont, a small village south of Toulouse. It’s there that he meets Aymerick, a municipal worker, who is deeply attached to his village. This encounter will lead to a completely unexpected bond, filled with humor, clumsiness, and confessions. All of this is sprinkled with a variety of unique characters that reveal the different facets of Miremont, where, in the end, solitude doesn't linger for too long.

Let’s enjoy a Park Chan-Wook marathon at the Brady!
As his latest feature film, No Other Choice, is about to hit our theaters (on February 11), the Brady Cinema invites us this Saturday to a marathon dedicated to the Korean director Park Chan-Wook. A three-in-one screening that kicks off with JSA (Joint Security Area) starting at 1 PM, continues with his highly praised Old Boy (which won the Grand Jury Prize at the 2004 Cannes Film Festival), and wraps up with one of our favorites, The Handmaiden.
