Discovering the new K-goth scene at Chinois
Straight from Las Vegas, the K-goth band Past Self serves up a clever blend of darkwave, post-punk, and shoegaze, somewhere between The Cure's poisonous atmospheres and Cocteau Twins' dreamy soundscapes. Their aesthetic draws from Visual Kei, that Japanese artistic and musical movement known for its theatrical, extravagant, and somewhat dramatic looks. With lyrics in Korean and English, Past Self claims a unique universe, at the crossroads of cultures and genres. Currently touring Europe, the band is heading near Paris this Tuesday, with a stop at Chinois in Montreuil.

Get dazzled by Sijia Chen at Point Éphémère
What if you could discover a show before anyone else? That's the whole idea behind Point Éphémère's Crash-tests: artists supported by the venue come to share with the audience a performance still very much in creation, to test, explore, adjust… and most importantly, bring their world to life in real time. This Thursday, it's time for Carte de séjour, the brand-new creation by Chinese dancer Sijia Chen. On stage, she takes back control of her story and offers a deeply personal yet political perspective on her journey, between identity, culture and…
roots. Through dance, she tells the story of the struggle she wages to bring to life an identity in motion and on the margins.View this post on Instagram

We shed a tear over The People We Love at La Folie Théâtre
Music fills the club where Sara works in the 1980s. There, she meets Hugo, a charming and endearing young man. Under the sounds of Bowie and Patti Smith, they grow closer, fall in love, and live a life filled with melodies, dancing, and laughter. The perfect romantic comedy, you might think, until illness turns everything upside down… A touching show that addresses breast cancer with grace and emotion.

We're dancing and supporting La Station – Gare des Mines with Club Humide
It's obviously no secret: at the end of October, our favorite club and gathering place, La Station – Gare des Mines, is closing its doors for at least three years. So naturally, we're trying to go as often as possible to keep enjoying this iconic spot in northern Paris, but also to support the project and make sure it continues to thrive, even beyond its walls. And this Sunday, the Club Humide crew is inviting Group Therapy for an evening of
>100% dedicated to La Station. It's the perfect chance to get together for one last dance in the 18th district, with wild B2B sets, drag shows and plenty of love to go around. And here's the best part? All the evening's proceeds go to La Station to help them through these three upcoming transition years. So come dance, come show your support, and most importantly, come let La Station know you'll be there when they're back.Voir cette publication sur Instagram
