We're catching iconic cinema classics on the big screen
For its 5th edition, the "The Director Does Cinema" series is back at UGC Ciné Cité Les Halles, a.k.a. the world's most-visited cinema, for about ten days of pure magic. What's on the menu? Ten cult films, each introduced by masterclasses from Patrice Le Marchand, the cinema's director. From Terrence Malick's The New World to Martin Scorsese's Taxi Driver, passing through Yasujiro Ozu's An Autumn Afternoon, Coppola's The Conversation, or Roberto Rossellini's Europe '51... This early August period is the perfect time to (re)brush up on your cinema knowledge.

The play transports us to the Belle Époque, to meet an icon of Paris, La Goulue, star of the Moulin Rouge, both a wild animal tamer, scandalous figure and even muse of painter Toulouse-Lautrec. The destiny of a woman extremely modern, rebellious and free for her time, performed by Delphine Grandsart.

We're watching thesky at Montsouris Park

A series of free evenings that invite Parisians to rediscover what we too often forget above our heads: the universe. No need to be an astrophysicist or know constellations by heart. The experience is designed as a cosmic stroll open to everyone. You learn to recognize the Moon in its tiniest craters, to spot Jupiter when it appears as a brilliant point, or to follow Saturn's discreet traces. The guides explain, share stories, and make astronomy almost as simple as an evening walk.

With its 20,000 m² of lawn and welcoming atmosphere, La Villette's open-air cinema is back with another sparkling cinematic experience for its 35th edition.
