We're indulging in the new 100% veggie menu at Carte Blanche

As we approach the end of May at full speed, the restaurants in the capital are doubling their efforts to delight us before summer arrives. To achieve this, Carte Blanche (the most eclectic restaurant in the 10th, delighting our taste buds) is hosting Chef Umami Cuisine for three fabulous evenings. On the menu, a fully plant-based menu, showcasing seasonal products perfectly enhanced by Mediterranean-inspired seasonings. It's simple—from za'atar butter to pastilla, and including eggplant caviar with chermoula, we want to try EVERYTHING!

Dining on the terrace to soak up the sun

Sunny terrace, ultra-fresh cuisine, and Californian vibes: Chez Carrie is already ticking all the boxes for the spot we’re going to hang out at all season. Behind this new place in the 2nd, there’s a chef from Michigan who creates joyful and vibrant dishes: green harissa polenta fries, spicy tuna tostada, zucchini fritters with scamorza, and even creative twist on Eggs Benedict for brunch. On the drinks side, cocktails with kalamansi, rhubarb-vermouth spritz, and natural wines perfectly complement those long evenings on the terrace.

Diving into African Surrealist Art

Head over to The Bridge Gallery to explore Uncanny Nature, a group exhibition blending surrealism and contemporary strangeness. Artists Ménè, Cinthia Sifa Mulanga, and Georgia Semple envision hybrid bodies, mysterious spaces, and distorted forms just like in a dream. An hypnotic plunge into worlds that are as poetic as they are unsettling.

We dive into the wild universe of Anselm Kiefer at the Thaddaeus Ropac Gallery

This time, Anselm Kiefer leaves (almost) behind his usual themes of war and death to tackle a grand subject: ancient mythology. In spectacularly sized canvases, the painter once again showcases his immense talent, presenting us with landscapes inhabited by nymphs — naiads, nereids, and oceanids. Vegetal forms break through the surface of canvases covered in threads of gold, creating an absolutely fascinating mystical décor. Another brilliant achievement from the 81-year-old artist who never ceases to amaze us.

Listening to a podcast that questions new family models

What if the best environment for raising a child wasn’t a romantic couple, but friendship instead? In Des parents comme les autres, the podcast from ARTE Radio, we follow two best friends over 5 years who decide to start a family together while each being in a relationship of their own. Between co-parenting, romantic balance, and reevaluating traditional models, this ultra-intimate documentary series by Charlie Marcelet brilliantly explores what family means today.
