Let’s pamper our hair at Alexandre Pichoux

Nestled at the back of a quiet courtyard, between Bastille and Place Saint-Paul, Alexandre Pichoux welcomes us into his high-end Parisian hair salon. A place where time stands still, in a minimalist decor bathed in natural light, where we can finally take care of ourselves. Here, Alexandre – a hairstylist for around twenty years – and his team have been pampering the hair of Parisians for five years. What’s on the agenda? Carefully selected products, with ammonia-free colors, treatments from the natural brand Oway, and even aromatherapy sessions to push relaxation even further. Whether you come...for a transformation, a little trim, a balayage, or just a simple blowout, all the rituals have been designed to soothe both your mind and your hair and scalp. A place where you don't just come out with lovely hair, but also feeling centered and reconnected with yourself.

Discovering (or rediscovering) the masterful manifesto by Despentes at the Théâtre 14

Let's travel back to October 2020, at the Centre Pompidou, where writer and philosopher Paul B. Preciado hosted his seminar Cluster révolutionnaire. It was here that Virginie Despentes presented her manifesto in a fresh and innovative way, Nothing has ever stopped history from diverging, questioning the concepts of boundaries and freedom. A call for a revolution of bodies and minds, brought to life in a rock, poetic, and musical version by Anne Coni, on stage at the Théâtre 14 until February 21.

We're treating ourselves to an exceptional Japanese dinner at Saku

Just two steps away from the Place Vendôme, and...ve; the place of the Japanese institution in the neighborhood, Kinugawa, opens a new Japanese chapter. Meet at Saku, at the crossroads of sushi-ya and izakaya, where elegance and refinement are the keywords. On the agenda: two rooms with two different vibes, featuring a large space upstairs where you can sit face to face (and a private area for all your celebrations), as well as a sushi counter, where you can savor and watch the precise movements of Victor Emmanuel, the master sushi chef of the place. And on the plate, it's a true journey to Japan. From sharing dishes to the omakase ritual, your taste buds will soar to the Land of the Rising Sun. A big favorite for the fatty tuna sushi and eel, true melt-in-your-mouth bites, as well as the desserts that are as delicious as they are comforting.
