Let's (re)discover our Beloved Suburbs with the new exhibition at the Museum of Immigration History

They are just on the edge of the city, only a few minutes by metro, and are full of treasures. Yet, the suburbs are often criticized and pushed to the background. Today, the Museum of Immigration History invites us to shine a light on a very unjustly tarnished image by breaking all the clichés associated with these neighboring areas. These unique territories, at the crossroads of art, history, and social dynamics, are revealed here through a series of photographs, paintings, sculptures, and other archival objects, which elevate...not the suburbs as places of memory and transmission. And it felt good.

Museum of the History of Immigration
293, Avenue Daumesnil – 12th

Feast your eyes on the concert film Björk: Cornucopia

For those who aren't familiar, Cornucopia is Björk's tenth concert tour, featuring the iconic Icelandic artist known for her alternative and avant-garde music. This musical and theatrical creation has traveled the world for 5 years – from 2019 to 2023 – showcasing the entire artistic universe of Björk, from her emblematic sounds to her recent albums, all wrapped up in a truly mind-blowing visual narrative. It's the most elaborate live performance by the artist to date, captured and transformed into a concert film (in 4k quality and Dolby Atmos) for our enjoyment, set to be screened in French cinemas this Sunday, May 11. This is a must-see event for both long-time fans and newcomers alike!
