Let's enjoy a dancing Monday at the Point Éphémère

As part of the Superflash festival, presented by the dance collective Contre-Club, the Point Éphémère invites us to delightful evenings celebrating the joy of dance. And this Monday, we've got a fantastic way to kick off the week with the show Do You Really Wanna Live Forever by Yulia Arsen. In a strangely optimistic melancholy, the dancer invites us to experience a moment outside of time, blending on stage movements inspired by folk dance, ballet, Soviet athletic propaganda, all interspersed with gestures related to cheap drugs.

We're celebrating Lunar New Year at Sobremesa

This is the neighborhood spot that never gets old. Sobremesa delights the entire 18th with delicious dishes inspired by Asian flavors and carefully selected natural wines. The restaurant is known for hosting a parade of resident chefs, and for Lunar New Year, it's the talented chef Rachel Shan Jiang who will tantalize our taste buds. Originally from Northeast China and having worked in prestigious Michelin-starred kitchens, this chef and creator is now exploring the cooking adventures ahead!

cultural connections between cuisine, ceramics, and tea, incorporating French techniques into her Chinese cooking. On the menu? Lo Hei chicken, shredded chicken flavored with lemon, peanuts, and ginger; Jiao Zi, steamed dumplings filled with pork and Chinese sauerkraut; steamed fish with Sichuan pepper; braised Lion’s Head, melt-in-your-mouth pork meatballs with salted duck egg yolk; sticky rice with crab cooked in a lotus leaf; and for a sweet touch, Tang Yuan, glutinous rice balls filled with peanut butter, caramel, and Sichuan pepper.

We celebrate all bodies at the Everybody festival

The Everybody Festival returns to enchant us with its magical fifth edition at Carreau du Temple! From February 18 to 22, this iconic cultural venue invites you to rethink the body in our current society during five days of celebration. On the agenda: shows, a waacking battle, dance classes, a photo exhibition, a screening, and even a grand Baile Charme and DJ set straight from Rio. Here, artists place the representation of the body at the heart of their work, with pieces that question stereotypes related to gender, skin color, and disability, exploring the... multiple ways to live out your identity and differences.

We're going to meet women artists at the Musée d'Orsay

Embark on the journey of unknown female painters from the collections of the Musée d'Orsay. With its evening event “Women in Art: The Audacity to Create,” the institution offers us a truly unique visit, exploring the works of Anna Boberg, Marie Bashkirtseff, Camille Claudel… As we wander through the galleries, we become captivated not only by the paintings but also by the musical performances of Dom La Nena, Dorothée Munyaneza, and Gildaa. A delightful blend of eras and styles that honors those who shaped their art by defying expectations.

We're celebrating carnival like in Rio at La Marbrerie

While on the other side of the Atlantic, feathers and dancers are out for days of celebration in Rio, La Marbrerie has decided to bring carnival to Montreuil. This Friday, let yourself be swept away by the Roda de Samba from the Zabumba collective, with fiery rhythms, dancing voices, and beating percussion. Gathered around a table, just like in Rio or São Paulo, musicians and the audience become one, singing classics and hidden gems. An electrifying evening, friendly and irresistible... in Montreuil, but with our hearts in Brazil!

We’re in love with the half-and-half pizza from Faggio!

With brick walls, an intimate setting, and soft lighting… Faggio has all the charm of a lovely neighborhood pizzeria. But step inside, and you’ll discover what it means to devour a pizza with a hip-hop backdrop. There’s nothing boring about the vibe here; they’re fully embracing street culture with a neo-industrial flair. The restaurant’s motto is clearly honored: “I don’t wanna ill, I just wanna chill.” To the sounds of 90’s US beats, the pizzas come out of the massive oven located right in the middle of the restaurant. It’s a real show... that continues on your plate! Trendy yet authentic, the chef’s creations are truly delightful.Originally from Calabria, they are divine. Our latest favorite? The moit-moit pizza, just like in Marseille, with one side featuring fiordilatte and ultra-melting parmesan, and the other side topped with Sangiolaro anchovy fillets and Taggiasche black olives, all drizzled with garlic olive oil.

Discover the new exhibition by Dana Lixenberg at the MEP

This is the first time a French institution is dedicating a retrospective to the Dutch artist Dana Lixenberg. For this occasion, the MEP has chosen to showcase the demanding and deeply human work of the photographer through her portrait of America. On the walls, dozens of images create a plural exhibition of the United States, where the artist moved in 1989 at the age of 25. Through her outsider perspective, she gently questions the myths of the American dream.American, in a sensitive and touching narrative.
