If they were very impatient, many of those registered for the draw for the 2024 Olympics were disappointed, as the results have been trickling in since February 15th. And for a good reason, as the draw goes, not everyone has (yet) had the chance to be selected and receive an email to access a purchasing slot. Among the lucky winners, the joy quickly faded away when they discovered the very high prices and the unavailability of certain event sessions. Some of them even gave up.

Free outdoor events

Good news, all outdoor disciplines will be freely accessible! A nice consolation prize for those who couldn't get tickets, especially since there will be a ticket sale, for anyone who wants to attend.

"We find some mythical trials including the marathon, the cycling road race, the triathlon, and walking. These highlights will take place in the streets of Paris or in the Seine. Seated tickets are on sale for these sessions, with tickets at 40 euros (category A) or 24 euros (category B) to be placed at the finish line of the marathon on the esplanade des Invalides. For the rest of the 42.195 km course, supporters can freely position themselves to cheer on their favorite athletes! You can also watch the road cycling race/time trial and all the open water events in the Seine without a ticket. Sessions in the rest of France Of course, you can attend the sailing and surfing events for free, which will take place respectively in Marseille and Tahiti, at least if you have the budget for the rest of the trip."Cement, or for the lucky ones who will already be there. Other sessions will be available around the capital: canoeing in Vaires-sur-Marne, in Seine-et-Marne, BMX racing, mountain biking, and golf in Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines. These events have "standing" places not listed in the price list shared by the Games organization, which suggests that some parts of the course will be open to spectators to watch the events without paying.
