As the sun finally makes an appearance, why not take advantage of one of the upcoming long weekends to treat yourself to a little getaway in one of the charming villages that France has to offer? This time, head north to discover a beautiful medieval city aptly nicknamed the little Venice of Normandy.

If I tell you about abundant canals, charming houses overlooking the water, and small stone bridges here and there, it's hard not to immediately dream of Venice, its lagoon, and its glassblowers. But no! This time, we are indeed in France, just a few hours from the capital. Welcome to Pont-Audemer, in the Eure department, a city with many titles located not far from the Seine.
