It makes you wonder why no one had thought of it before. Launched in 2016, the Too good to go app helps fight against food waste with just your phone by reserving surprise leftover baskets from many local stores and restaurants. And what about cultural waste? Shouldn't forgotten show tickets also have a second chance? Yes, and four students understood this well when they created TicketNunc at 22, following the same concept as the food app but this time for live entertainment institutions.

Theatrical Tickets at -50% and More

Sometimes, we plan to see a play months in advance for its actors, actresses, director, the universe in which it fits, or the work from which it draws inspiration, while other times, it takes us by surprise at the last minute, because the evening is dreary and there's nothing more entertaining than going to the theater (or reading a Bonbon review, your choice). And in those situations, it's always a struggle. How good is the Rond-Point theater? And what about the Châtelet theater? Will my 38 euros really be well spent? Now, not so many questions to ask anymore.

TicketNunc - contraction of « Hic et nunc », meaning « Here and now » - allows you to find tickets at -50% or more for presentations on the same day, the next day, and up to 72 hours later. To refine your choices, three possible search filters: by show, by day (today, tomorrow or later), and by price range (between 0 and 10 euros, between 10 and 20 euros, or over 20 euros). .

Supporting a sector in crisis

This platform is innovative and shaking up the codes of live art. Once reserved for bourgeois lifestyles, going to the theater has never been so accessible, which is the goal of its creators, who strongly wanted to "encourage those under 30" to attend. "What's missing today is feeling good in this environment," explains Lucile Gilbert, one of the founders, to Mouv, who introduced us to TicketNunc. This is to give a boost to the sector, as highlighted by the media, which is going through a major budget crisis with significant cuts from the Ministry of Culture - 200 million euros for the year 2024, as announced by Bercy in early April.

For now, TicketNunc is only available in Paris, but with such a concept, we can easily imagine it expanding to several major French cities. Its founders have already formed partnerships with various institutions in the capital dedicated to live art, including Théâtre Edgar, Lucernaire, Ranelagh, Comédie Bastille, and the prestigious 13e Art in Place d'Italie. A start-up destined to grow, and perhaps even open up to other cultural sectors, such as music; entertainers, seize the Kaïros.
