Get ready, this weekend, it’s going to be hot. Very hot. Luckily, there are a few ways to stay cool: take a dip in the Saint-Martin canal, treat yourself to some of the most unique ice creams in the capital, or just lock yourself in an air-conditioned dark room to enjoy one of the wonders of cinema. And it’s perfect timing, as the 10th arrondissement has decided to offer screenings to some Parisians.
Cool Deals
Indeed, the 10th is pulling out all the stops to help Parisians survive the heat. Not only does it host the only swimmable spot on the Seine right now — before the opening in 2026.Opening of the others on July 4th — but that's not all! The city hall offers certain residents of the capital one of the best deals around: free movie screenings to enjoy a refreshing moment, called Ciné-Clim. To take part, head over to one of the 3 independent cinemas in the neighborhood: Le Brady, L'Archipel, and Le Louxor. At the latter, the offer includes the screening of the film Ulysse (by Lætitia Masson), shown from Thursday to Sunday at 3:30 PM, and Le Vertige (by Quentin Dupieux), screened from Thursday to Saturday at 2:50 PM and Sunday at 1:45 PM. In the other two, all screenings that start between 1 PM and 4 PM.

Some Happy Privileged Ones
However, not everyone will be able to benefit from this offer. Indeed, the city hall wants to primarily assist the most vulnerable populations, and is therefore offering seats to Parisians aged under 25 and over 65. 30 seats for each age group at the Louxor, and in other cinemas, the offer is aimed at the same age groups, this time without restrictions, except for the number of seats available for the specific showing. It's the perfect opportunity to enhance your film knowledge and treat yourself to a moment in the shade before dipping your toes in the canal, or enjoying the opening of Jardin Villemin until midnight!
