Here we go, autumn is truly settling in all across France, officially kicking off the scallop season. For the next few months, we’ll be able to indulge ourselves with these little gems from the sea, the true stars of Christmas tables. And it all starts this weekend, with the Great Unloading taking place this year in the heart of the village of Bercy. It's a treat for both bargain hunters and seafood lovers!
Tastings and other fun activities
On-site, for 2 days, you can enjoy the now famous Fish Truck, a pop-up fish shop that will kick off its grand annual tour of France right there. On the menu: scallops, of course, freshly caught!
and straight from Normandy. There will be delicious activities, quirky quizzes, and also a number of prizes to win (including some huge scallop billets) that will be part of the fun. Scallops in All Their Forms
Truly the stars of this weekend, these unique seafood delights, freshly harvested and brought in from the Norman ports of Dieppe, Granville, Fécamp, Cherbourg, and Port-en-Bessin, will be offered by professionals who, not only will let you taste them for free, but will also teach you how to elevate them with original recipes for the holidays. So, there's no need for breakfast, let's head over at 11 AM to enjoy it all to the fullest, and then we'll keep the fun going with lunch, snacks, and appetizers for a 100% scallop day. Bon Appétit!
