A little slice of Provence right in Paris

Some restaurants transport you somewhere else in the blink of an eye. KALANK is one of those places. Nestled just a stone's throw from Place de la Nation, this establishment embodies the spirit of the Côté bleue, but without falling into the usual clichés. From the moment you step in, the warm welcome from Patrick, the owner, sets the tone. Here, you come for both the plates and the vibe.

The menu evolves with the seasons and the chef's inspirations, ensuring impeccable freshness and delightful, unexpected flavor combinations. This winter, for instance, we enjoyed a fresh tartare of blue fish, fennel, and herb cream, as well as a delicious Provençal pot-au-feu that warms the heart with its fragrant broth and tender meat. We also had a genuine love-at-first-bite moment with grilled octopus, Camargue rice, and rouille sauce that – while seemingly simple – nearly reaches perfection. On the sweet side, we couldn’t resist a very surprising “Pavlovanisananas” (that is to say, a pavlova with anise and pineapple), which strikes a subtle balance between Mediterranean and exotic notes, or a Provençal nougat with bergamot foam.

The best part? For those and...For those who can't decide or want to try a little bit of everything, the chef offers a 4-course tasting menu (3 savory dishes and 1 sweet) featuring his current selections for 51€ per person... A culinary adventure that's worth every single cent spent.

Authentic and Inspired Cuisine

Behind the stove, Chef Bastien Veziat pours his talent and high standards into every plate. Trained in prestigious kitchens like Guy Savoy and Drouant, he gives a modern, refined twist to the classics of the South. Inspired by the generosity of Provençal cuisine, he uses only fresh, seasonal ingredients, carefully selected from committed producers. Each dish pays tribute to these sun-soaked regions: burnt mackerel escabèche, bull stew from Pic Saint-Loup, Calanques soup… everything here breathes authenticity and excellence.

But KALANK is also a tribute to the wines of the South. Patrick Sacchetti, a true enthusiast, has traveled the region to uncover the finest gems. Exclusive wines, exceptional pastis, and craft beers find their spot on the menu: from Rinquinquin, the peach aperitif wine, to Blanc Rolle Brin de Mimosa, along with the elegant cuvées from Domaine de la Courtade on the island of Porquerolles. Here, each glass tells a story of terroir and

A Mediterranean grocery store to take away

Finally, the experience continues at the fine grocery store, where Patrick shares his delicious treasures gathered from all over the Mediterranean. Menton lemon jam, vintage sardines, exceptional olive oils… over 200 products invite you to bring a little bit of the South home.a last wink to those little cabins where we take the time to savor, exchange, and celebrate the richness of products.
