With the arrival of autumn and this dreary weather, isn't it time for a big bowl of noodles? Let's head to the 13th, more precisely to Ivry Avenue, where there's a little gem we'd almost like to keep a secret: L’Impulsif. It’s the kind of spot that gets whispered about and shared because the dishes are absolutely amazing.
When Calm Meets Delight
If there's one sign that a place is really good, it's when everyone goes quiet while eating. And in this neighborhood canteen, silence reigns as the sounds of steaming broths and the slurps of eager noodle lovers fill the air. That's because here, you get to enjoy authentic Chinese cuisine – overseen by a chef from southern China – made 100% in-house with fresh, high-quality ingredients. The broth is prepared daily, using natural spices and good vegetables, and most importantly, cooked without any monosodium glutamate. From noodle soups to dumplings, everything is made with care.

The Soup That Does It All
When the plates arrive on the table, it’s a true festival of flavors. We prepare our stomachs with the grilled dumplings, which already show a perfect texture under our little chopsticks. They are juicy, the filling is exceptional, and it’s so delicious that we struggle to share. Next comes the main dish, and the sp...House specialty: beef noodle soup with stew (for less than 12€ as well). The bowl is enormous, packed with a (very) generous amount of noodles, the meat is melt-in-your-mouth tender, and you can add little condiments to make every bite different. But what truly makes this dish special is undoubtedly the broth. A genuine magic potion against blues, colds… against everything!
In short, you got it, L'Impulsif is a true favorite. Our love for this place comes mainly from the canteen vibe, canteen atmosphere, and canteen prices… but with really top-notch food. A neighborhood gem, a real one, just the way we like it.
