You know, at Le Bonbon, we're fans of little food stands. Most of them don't look like much at first, but we often change our minds after trying their cuisine, which is always honest and never disappointing. So when we heard about La Maison Thaï on TikTok, we didn't waste any time going to try it out! Located at 4, rue de l'Évangile in the 18th arrondissement, this small shop, about ten square meters in size, offers a selection of Thai dishes at very affordable prices: pad Thai, potato balls, sautéed pork, bo bun salad... Well-filled containers for only 2 euros, or you can choose a menu with "two dishes + a bowl of rice" for 4.50 euros. A restaurant that's at risk of closing Open for over 20 years, La Maison Thaï has only increased its prices by 0.50 euros.Since its creation, the owner, Louv Bunnara, nicknamed "Boubou" by the locals, does not want to exceed the 2€ mark for his dishes. In an interview with Le Parisien, he explains that he makes all his recipes from scratch and selects the products at the nearby market: "we adapt to the product, when it's expensive, we don't make it." With inflation increasing more and more, Louv hardly makes any profit on his sales: "it's a constant struggle to keep prices affordable for our customers.""We are happy to work and make people happy, but with the war in Ukraine and the rising prices, we don't see the end of the tunnel," said Madame Tang, Louv's sister and employee of the store, to Le Parisien. Today, the restaurant is at risk of closing if it doesn't find more customers, because food prices are getting higher and higher. So we can only encourage you to urgently visit this small shop to support the two lovely people who run it. Those who know this place are unanimous: there is nothing better to eat delicious dishes for next to nothing in Paris. La Maison Thaï 4, rue de l’Évangile – 18th Open from Monday to Saturday from 10:45 am to 4 pm."
