« Here, there’s no concept », Antoine tells us with a big smile as he welcomes us to this new neighborhood gem that's already fallen in love with Rue Amelot, just look at the packed terrace even in November! At Comptoir Club, they focus on the essentials: super fresh products, a stylish yet minimalist setting, and a music vibe that makes you want to hang up your coat for a few hours and discover what's going on.

Simple but Well Thought Out

Antoine and Julie, the two brains behind this little treasure, have put thought into every detail to make this bistro your new hangout. Julie grew up in her parents' Burgundian vineyard, raised on the goodness of local produce. Antoine is a cooking enthusiast since childhood and a graduate of the Institut Paul Bocuse. With diverse experiences (from palace pastry to gastronomic tourism to opening restaurants…), they finally decided to open their own place.

And at first glance, the décor instantly charms us. Designed by Chloé Leymarie, the spot is a subtle blend…

made of custom furniture and vintage items that blurs the lines and almost makes you believe that Comptoir Club has always been here.

For a coffee, a lunch, or some drinks?

A straightforward menu but prepared with care, minimalist decor with vintage touches, and a gigantic XXL counter designed for cozy conversations to change the world. The result: a place that blends warmth and carefully sourced products.

In the morning, we indulge in simple soft-boiled eggs that always bring joy or a homemade granola with a nice chai or matcha latte. In the evening, it’s time for tapas: tamago egg with stracciatella, roasted squash, and coffee-roasted carrots… Let me tell you, we’ll definitely come back just for these delightful little shareable plates.

All day long, we enjoy a selection of specialty coffee, finely selected teas, and irresistibly tempting pastries at the counter. This bistro perfectly captures the essence of neighborhood life, a bit like it used to be, but with a modern twist, and each visit makes us want to come back. And I insist, once again, the playlist adds that little bit of sweetness that makes all the difference.

See you there!

This game lets you put your knowledge of the Parisian metro to the test!

After racking your brain to name as many French cities as you can, or trying to list all the Paris metro stations, here's a new puzzle that will challenge many. By combining speed and knowledge of the network, the website Metroguessr challenges you to see how well you know the Paris metro, its lines, stops, and connections. ### Geoguessr for Parisians For those unfamiliar with the concept of Geoguessr, here's a summary: on Google Street View, you are randomly dropped at a location around the world, and you have to find your location in the most accurate way possible in record time. Well, with Metroguessr, it's the same concept. For 1 minute, the map offers random points on the map, and you only have the color of the line concerned (or lines, in case of correspondence) as a clue. The principle is very simple, in 60 seconds, you have to name as many as possible.Let's have some brain-teasing fun! Getting a correct answer will earn you 5 points, but be careful, passing each station will make you lose 1 point. Those big train stations are easy to guess, but others can be tricky. Between Saint-Sulpice and Saint-Placide, it's easy to get lost for at least 15 seconds. Did you even know that Falguière was in the 15th arrondissement? The key takeaway here is that time flies by in 60 seconds, even though the answers are there, hinted from the start. So, it's best to team up and be quick on your feet. You'll thank us later.
