A true journey back in time
Anyone who hasn't had the chance to stroll through the Pavillons de Bercy · Musée des Arts Forains should jump on the opportunity right away. Throughout the year, the establishment offers us a true journey back in time to the Paris of the 1900s through guided tours. In the former wine cellars of Bercy, amidst ancient attractions that are both beautiful and fascinating, we discover a whole bunch of curiosity objects from fairgrounds between 1850 and 1950 (including "The Race of the Coffee Boys," our personal favorite). We almost feel like we're in the heart of the Moulin Rouge, ready to sing along with Ewan McGregor and Nicole Kidman.

But it is during the Festival of Marvels, organized every year at the end of December, that the museum offers us its most beautiful moments. On the program, numerous shows that celebrate the festivals of the 19th and 20th centuries: musicians, dancers, magicians, mechanical music, puppeteers, automatons, video mapping, acrobats... Breath-taking shows that we happily accompany with a hot chocolate or cotton candy to truly feel like we are at the fair.
Attractions to experience the magic of the past
And that's not all. The Festival of Marvels also offers us attractions for young and old! Indeed, some rides still retain the charm and magic of the past. You can take a ride on a vintage merry-go-round, have a go on a classic wooden roller coaster, or get lost in a thrilling haunted house. These attractions will transport you back in time and make you feel like a child again.
Old carousels will be specially opened, like the carousel of horses or the velocipede merry-go-round that have witnessed more than a century of buttocks. The entrance to the festival entitles you to two attraction tickets per person to relive the emotions of the past.

The performances, short in duration (between 5 and 20 minutes), are scheduled several times a day to allow everyone to experience the magic of the festival. A timeless moment in a museum that is not visited, but lived. Trust us, you don't want to miss it!
