The Editor

Just a few weeks away from the Olympics and summer, the Palais de Tokyo invites us to celebrate the end of a season in beauty. The program for this special weekend: exhibitions, workshops, performances of all kinds, and concerts for two full days to help us explore the sensitive and therapeutic functions of art. Workshops for all ages are available all day. Start your visit by checking out the 5 current exhibitions, touching on themes of representations of identities, exile, and mental health. But the real heart of this weekend lies a little further, in the rooms dedicated to art workshops, performances, and concerts that you can discover as you wander through the building. Between body and mind care, this weekend promises to be a delightful experience.Rest and transmission of practical knowledge, compositions of natural and musical drinks, naps and mediation on living beings, Palais Tokyo transforms into a true living body.

When it comes to workshops, we have for example Emma Lou Burkel who introduces us to the art of natural dyeing with avocados, lemon, pomegranate, or even white vinegar. Anaïs Touchot offers to make you beautiful down to your fingertips with nail art inspired by the greatest masterpieces of 20th-century painting. We relax with Violaine Le Fur and her energetic music therapy treatments, and we finish with a workshop on discovering aromatic and medicinal herbs with Mathis Perron (Simple Pied), an artist and herbalist from Charente-Maritime.

Discovering the Palais de Tokyo in a different way

The special weekend is also an opportunity to explore lesser-known areas of the Palais de Tokyo. From 3pm to 7pm, for example, you can visit hidden gardens both inside and outside the Palais. Throughout the event, you can...During this event, the Friche will also be open to the public. Usually reserved for artists, collectives, and researchers who come to visit the palace, this collective work space reveals its inner workings exceptionally for two days.

Enchanting Musical Performances

What would a special weekend be without a little party? On Saturday and Sunday at 3pm and 4pm, Vica Pacheco takes us on a journey with a musical improvisation with mysterious sounds using ceramic instruments. A contemplative experience, halfway between ritual and performance. At 5:30pm, Inès Cherifi takes over the turntables for a concert blending techno, hyperpop, ambient, and classical music.
